Mino-Washi™

Hand-made in Mino, Japan

Those products are hand-made in a small atelier in Mino, naturally dried and bleached in the sun. Thanks to the properties of their extra long fibers they stick to glass using water only, all without glue. After completely dried, they can be removed and re-used again.

Mino is a picturesque small town located in Gifu prefecture and proud of its over 1300 year history of paper-making. To this present day, the particular know-how is passed-on by masters from one generation to the next.

Thanks to the abundant and clean waters of the Nagara and Itadori rivers, paper from Mino belongs to the best of the country. Japanese paper is also referred to as Washi, if from Mino as Mino-Washi™ (wa = Japan, shi = paper).
